It is terminology. IHC made two lighting kits that fit in front of the Mag. One bolted in line with the mag and one was bolted onto the oil fill lid. They were both called it a "generator" (IHC parts 18212D and 13162DAX). They called each one an "Electric Lighting Attachement." It did not require a battery and only provided light when the motor was running. See pages 237-250 of F-20 parts manual
