well your going to tell me i am nuts crazy what ever here BUT first check your timming at full throttel for full advance then open up the screw on the float bowl first turn it in till it just touches the seat then back it out 4.5 -5 turns out . Next tune the air ideal screw and ideal stop screw for best slowest ideal then set the curb ideal . Now it vary well could be the electronic ing. starten to give ya fits or it varywell could be that it is the gas and when working it hard she is getting detonation and in the early stages of swelling a piston and they will act just that way just before they LOCK UP.So to get the fuel thing out of the way before ya grind your next batch of feed treat the old girl to some 93 octain gas and see if that helps. When ya did the valve job did they mill the head?? if they did it raised your comp ratio and also if that old girl had been overhauled before there is a real good chance that whoever did it my have had the earlie 560 update on the pistons to the 263 706 pistons as many of the old 560 gasser were done this way and that made a 560 with over 72 Hp. Now when ya get a overhaul kit for a 560 most kits offered are of the 706 piston.
