1*8*T = Jan 8, 1950. The codes started with A in 1931 and ran through Z in 1954, then started over. They were consecutive except the V was not generally used (I have heard of V codes, but have never seen one). Both U and W were used in 1951, also V in the very rare cases, (if V existed) That will cover 99.9% of them.
