There's a guy over on the Red Power site who's successfully made a modification to his 9 series tractors that makes 'em steer MUCH easier, however it's not what you'd want to do if originality is what you're after. He shortens the pitman arm and if that's not enough he lengthens the arm on the spindle. If a good welder does the work there's no durability issues. He says it makes a WD-9 with a loader steer as easy as if it had power steering....
