My H has been sitting for a couple months. I decided to take the old combination intake manifold off it and replace it with a new gas manifold which I did today. And then I fired it up. It runs...but with a fizzle. I removed and cleaned all the plugs. Then fired it up. It obviously is not doing right. So, while running, I began to pull plug wires.. #4. Tractor stops running when I pull it...back on it and it runs. #s 3,2 & 1 when I pull them one at a time...I have plenty of spark but no change in the running...Lots of fumes coming from exhaust pipe that I am guessing is gas fumes and not oil fumes. My daddy always told me that if I had Fire,Gas and compression at the proper time that it would run. Well, I have fire and gas...I am guessing that I have a compression problem, perhaps caused by sticking valves???? I could not find my compression gage to check and will find that tomorrow...Does anyone have thoughts for me to be thinking tomorrow when I get into it...I am thinking about taking the valve cover off and see what is happening.
