Followed instructions with compression tester to check cylinders on the F130 today. Each cylinder showed a reading of 125PSI across the board. My user manual states compression as 6.5:1, but this makes little sense to me, although I have seen it explained somewhere before. One thing that was weird, while testing #4, a squeal could be heard coming from the engine during the cranking. I moved the tester back to #3 and no squeal, back to #4 and she started this strange, sharp little squeal again while cranking. Weird! Put all plugs back in, fired up nice and sounds great, especially after setting the dist. point gap back to .020, it had previously been as wide as .040 for some reason. Would you say I"ve got good valves at that compression for a C123 engine?
