There's really NOTHING in the H transmission that fits or works in the M, well, maybe the rubber gear shift knob. The H really is a 2/3 scale replica of the M. The M always used splined shafts on both upper & lower transmission shafts, the H used only a spline top shaft for the sliding gears, the lower gears were keyed to the shaft. NOTHING from the H M&W 9-speed except maybe the control cable would work on an M and vice-versa.
