You have my sympathy!! My super A has a mid mounted sickle mower and the optional Monroe seat which mounts right behind the pedals. The coil spring under the seat pan pushes the seat to within 3-4 inches of the steering wheel when the load (me)is removed. As soon as I stand up, my legs are jammed against the steering wheel. All this, plus approaching old geezerhood, makes getting on and off this tractor a challenge.
I have considered bolting one of those round steps you see on truck wheels to the wheel weight or even putting a ladder of some sort up the back of the tractor.

In spite of this problem, this is my favorite tractor. I have never used a better setup for cutting hay.
