I'd hate to see a useable 350 ute scrapped out just for the motor, but if the the scrapping has already been done, then I think you might be on to something. I've contemplated doing the same thing, but I doubt if I will ever run across a 350 diesel engine. Another thought is one of those little 4 cylinder cummins engines, or, what would really get some attention, is one of those screamin' little 2 stroke Detroits. There are still enough "correct" Farmall Hs out there that you don't need to worry about being "correct". Have some fun.
