Larry:. My experiance was that the cast wheel with LARGE OPENINGS were prefered. There was less wind blowing OVER THE TOP of the tire and carrying dirt into my face. Remember that when these were new there were no inclosed cabs and the operator sat there getting plenty dirty while doing field work. The spring time seemed to be the worst as the top surface was dry and the weather winder. Now this may not have been an engineering plan but I sure liked the cast wheels because not as much wind & dirt came up over the top and into my face. Some times I'd come home and the only thing white was my eyes.. Anyone else remember the dirt flying around and NO CAB to sit in? Real fun....harvey
