Im interested in buying a 656 diesel from a retired farmer. He told me that he would sell it to me for $4,000. I dont normally do anyhting with these newer tractors but i always wanted one. I collect older farmalls and stuff. I was hoping someone could tell me what these tractors(656) are worth and if it is in my best interest to buy it at this price. It has a wide front end, three point attachment, always been in the barn when not being used and the TA words great. THe only thing that he said is wrong with it is that it will pop out of fourth gear when its pulling a big load. All the other gears are ok though. Could that just be a bearing problem or if it is the gear how hard is it to fix. WOuld it be alot more complicated than a farmall h or m. What is the horse power on this tractor, does it have dual pto(540, 1000),dual hydrolics, and are they a good tractor to use on my farm. If someone would be so kind to help me out with this I would be much ablidged. thanks alot Matt
