Old, I was with the Allied Command Europe Mobile Force serving with the Brits and was inside the Arctic Circle at Andselv (Near Bardufos), Norway from Dec to April for two years running! That was something else for this old Southern Indiana farm boy! Did our survival training down at Vos and then moved North. Lived in tents till the first of April--my wife said my blood got thinned while I was up there!! Actually got used to it believe it or not. Not sure I could do that now--was a whole lot younger then! Got to know the Boomers when I was at the Naval War College in Newport--you sub guys are a very unique and quite gutsy breed!! Steve
