If shaft lever is on comes out side of transmission case its probably 9 speed shift lever. If shaft comes out just below front of transmission case it may be a hydraulic pump disconnect shifter. Both if complete should have a rod from lever up to operators reach to shift them. Most if not all M&W levers on side of transmission will have M&W gear anchor IL that you can read on them or something like that. Just to caution you if it is a 9 speed and does'nt work I have found things like missing internal 9 speed parts but shifter left in. Shift linkage inside broke or disconnected, Welds inside trans. to lock in range when some of shifting parts or range gears go bad.
