First, it should have 90 wt gear lube in it. HyTran is good stuff, but it is a lot thinner than what was intended for that gearbox. Even new seals may not hold HyTran if there is any wear on the differential shafts. Second, you may have overfilled it. There is a plug on the left-hand side of the transmission, behind the left brake rod, that is the "Full" indication. Take it out. If oil runs out, it is overfull. I have found that these transmissions don't hold quite as much oil as the book says they do. Not by a lot, but about a half quart or so less. Third, I don't think that the "ports" are intended as an overfill indicator, but they do seem to function as such.
