On A's & B's the pointer is on the half moon shaped cover, and can be seen through the inspection hole in the underside of the bell housing/torque tube. Not sure about how they did it on a Super C. Like gene said, once you find it, put a little white or yellow paint mark on it so you can find it again. They are tough to see, not punched very deep into the flywheel. Are you sure you are on TDC on #1? Just for the heck of it, turn the flywheel 180 deg and look there too. BTDT.
