SuperA-Tx describes the one-point version of the Fast Hitch well. This type was available on the Cub, 100, 130, and 140 "offset" style tractors. It could be retrofitted to a Super A. There is also a 2-point version that was common on larger tractors through the late "50s into the mid "60s. You may have seen pictures of Farmalls with "hydraulic adjustable height drawbars." That"s a Fast Hitch with the drawbar attachment. 2-point Fast Hitch first appeared on the Super C in 1953 or 1954. It was available on pretty much every IH non-offset tractor from 1955 on up through into the late "60s, when the horsepower of the tractors exceeded the capacity of the design. The intention of Fast Hitch was to have a system where the operator could simply back into an implement and drive away, instead of having to jump off and fight with 3-point arms. Unhitching was supposed to be just as easy; the farmer would reach down from the seat with a hook, pull two latches, and drive away. Reality was, it didn"t work quite that well most of the time, but it worked okay.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
