I am not sure exactly what is wired to what, but the Wire from the F terminal on the gen should go to the field (grounded portion of the switch) The light wire goes to the light portion. On L (full CCW) the resistor for the field grouind is in the circuit to switch ground through the switch body mount. on H the resistor is not in the ground, and the charge rate is maximum, field wire direct ground through the switch body. The Field remains fully grounded in the D and B positions. There is no connection within the switch between the two systems. This diagram set should help. JimN
