In my opinion there are only two and they are small. One is that because the operator can see the tires it is somewhat easier to track where the tractor is going. Furrows with a plow, cultivating, and other situations. The other is that because the operator can see the tires easily there is less chance of running on into mud that gets the unit stuck. (I do not belive they have much higher flotation except that they are in a different location and may not both get into the mud at the same time. They limit radical pivot turns They have more wear points They are harder to jack up (a bit) They are less handy for parking in a "condensed" shed or garage They require more "geometric" loader construction to clear the axle They can't be driven with one front flat They afford no more stability on hills (unless restrictors or modifications are made to limit or control center point pivot travel or using a centering spring to control roll, ""my opinion"") JimN
