Finally got around to working on my M.I've been playing with a cub I bought.Anyhow I changed out the govenor spring like you said and HOLLY cow sure made it sound different.I haven't jetted the carb yet don't know if i will.I don't know if i have more power or not but it sounds a hole lot better. The spring is about 1 round shorter than the stock its the closest i could find at TCS. NOW how to set gov. do you just do it by sound or what? What i got right now is the low rpm screw (top) all the way out(sounds like it is idling faster now) to make it idle. I have the high rpm screw (bottom)all the way in and the throttle won't pull all the way back only about 3/4.Even at 3/4 of wide open it sounds good i just don't want to over due the RPMs.Do you think my spring is to short? Thanks for the help!!
