"Modern" folks aren't used to 6 volt systems, and neither are many car parts stores. Easily accessed battery cables are gauged for 12 volt systems. Good advice here. "00" sized cables, a good ground (with some copper anti-sieze at the joint)and proven battery should start any tractor in the winter. My lessons learned from this site.
