I just removed the crankshaft from my "51 SC a few days ago. The main bearing caps have their numbers stamped on the end facing the camshaft. A matching number is stamped on the bottom face of the crankcase that the oil pan is bolted to. You may have to scrape the face to remove any old gasket material that may be stuck to it. Can"t help you with the valve lift measurements. Sid.
