Its a sort of guess thing since he said it was converted to 12 volts. And 90% of the time that means it has an alternator in place of a genny. And he says it will not turn off which again leads at least me to believe it has an alterntor, but he didn't really say/give enough info to be sure, so we guess and ope we read his mind the right way LOL
