is the lift all pump out of the tractor? if not rotate the pump shaft by hand until the coupling in up and down. it is basically a steel disk with two key ways 90 degress apart, loosen the pump and it will drop straight out. its real heavy be careful, use a hydraulic jack to support the pump. when the pump is off, remove the cover and separate the pump from the housing. you can slide a piece of brass flat stock, 1-8 " by 1 inch in the pump to hold the gear and then use a brass punch to rotate the coupling out of the pump.
