Just an idea. Abilene isnt that big of a town and I bet there was probly only one dealer in the area back then. You might go to the historical society in the county and see if there are any ads for Farmall dealers. I dont think that tractor probly made if far from where it was bought. Probly as close as your going to get on an original owner. When my father bought my Super A (#264761) it was from a Mr. Holland in Myrtle Springs, Texas. Back then Myrtle Springs was a "big town" but then the rail road passed the town and it died. Mr. Holland was the only dealer around then and he had the market cornered. Talk to some old timers there and I bet they can fill you in on some things. It might be interesting if nothing else.
