Personally overboring by .150" seems like a lot. However that's in reference to car and truck engines which run faster, produce more power, more heat etc.

If this is a "fun" project to work on your own engineering development, by all means have at it. However, if this is something you need to rely on then I think I'd be spending towards a more proven solution.
