Steve, This reminds me of mah ol" GMC pickup, when I"d mash down on the pedal, flames would shoot out the tailpipe, and she"d take off like a rocket! So why not just put an elbow on the exhaust pointing back, and take advantage of the jet age?? Joking aside, my first thought was also timing too far advanced, but I"m now thinking you are very retarded. No, I mean the engine timing is very retarded! I"m in rare form this morning. Anyway, like the others, I"d play with the timing. The problem when you throttle back down is almost certainly due to hot carbon or hot valves, when you get the flames under control, I think your throttle down problem will take care of itself. Larry
