Bill; My book says pistons available in standard,0.020 and0.040 inch oversize and ride directly in unsleeved cylinder bores.
Standard bore size is 2.625 to 2.627 inches. If taper or out of round exceeds 0.005, you must rebore. Piston to bore clearance is 0.0016 -0.0024 inch. Should be two compression rings and one oil ring. Comp.ring end gap...0.007-0.017, oil ring gap...0.007-0.020 inches.
