Super MD

I just picked up a few tractors and was looking for some info on one.
Super MD, with narrow front and live hydraulics.I had it running and it run good but the radiator was shot,The guy said that it ran when he parked it and thought the head gasket was out so he parked it.
The question is what does the J stand for at the end of the serial #?
