Use it if ya want to, but the rear end/transmission housing is one of those things that is left after an H is parted out, and there is no demand for such a thing. Should be dozens of them just laying around looking for a new home, and wouldn't cost any more that current scrap iron price. Years ago we put a used wide front under a JD 4020. The wide front had been through a fire, but didn't appear to have been hot enough to do any real damage other than scorch the paint. Put the loader on the tractor and went to pick up a round bale. That wide front just sort of folded up, and then snapped off one of the spindles.
