I'm gonna agree with Red. Oil today is a LOT better than when the H was built, and so are filters. The extra area probably isn't going to be much benefit. If you want maximum filtration and a lot of added convenience, you can convert to a modern spin-on filter. I changed my M and SM to these with kits from my local CarQuest/Goodyear store. They don't look original, but they're more fun to change!
