Depending on which bulbs (and assuming a teardrop housing) it could be that the spring and fiber plate in the socket is not following the bulb into the socket to make connection. There needs to be a socket cleaner wire brush (looks like a bottle brush) or 1/2" copper pipe cleaning brush, used on the socket (with power off) Clean and bright is good with silicone grease to keep it rust free. On some the housing is rusted where the socket attaches and results in a poor ground. Be careful with the Dim circuit resistor, it cannot have more lamp watts than stock, or it will glow and burn out. JimN
