I currently own both 240 and 340 Farmall and would have to give a big edge to the 340 also. Has a pretty stout 135 motor with all the goodies like TA, lndpto, power steering ,and fast hitch and will be a great around the yard tractor. They will turn on a dime and are a great cultivating and garden tractor. The 240 will also do most of the same things but not all the features. A thousand difference seems a little much to me but there are not many of these showing up for sale around here. Parts can be had for both but are on the upper curve of things. Hope this helps and give me a shout if you have other questions or concerns. Migraine
