Hi, never had the Farmall version but had the utility version of 674 and 684 which is same tractor but with different wheels and injection pump turned up to 62 HP. My brother still has 684 and it has almost 7000 Hrs on it. Have done one clutch job and the T/A was eliminated last winter. The T/A problems was caused by misuse, pulling into Lo going down a hill. It also has parking brake problems .. again a hired hand driving tractor with parking brake on. The German D239 engine is good for well over 10,000 hrs if proper maintenance has been performed. Very reliable tractor. Pulled 3x16 plow, forage harvester both corn and hay, baler, 10 ft disk all no problems. Check parking brake function. Problem is parking brake is a band brake around a drum in the rear end and if someone drives it with the brake on all the bits of chewed up brake band can end up in the hydraulic system clogging the hydraulic filter. My thoughts JimB
