Hello all, I'm sneaking over here from the Ford boards. A friend's FIL has an older C that is just sitting in the shed. He asked me to have a look at it with an eye to knowing it's value. I don't know much about Farmalls but I like all the old iron so we had a looksee any way. Tin looked good - one bump in the grill, older paint, nice decals. Tires hold air but checked bad. It does have hydraulics on it. I found a tag, the serial # was 7734 - don't hold me to that #. Had the right angle drive off the pto for a belt pulley but no pulley. Was told it ran but didn't try to start it. (cold here) It had quite a bit of wetness under the tranny but the sediment bowl was leaking so it might have been that rather than a seal. It wasn't a bad looking old tractor all in all. It had a 6' Woods belly mower kind of cobbled under it. It sure looked TALL compared to my little Fords. I know it aint much to go on but is there a range of prices that a guy could give him some idea what it worth? Thanks for any and all replys.

The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
