Doyle: Is the 806 factory with two 6 volt batteries in series or has it been changed to two 12 volt batteries parallel, that does make a difference. Amo's advice is correct for two 12 volt parallel but not for 6 volt in series. Two 6 volt in series must be connected positive to positive at terminal going to starter and negative to negative at terminal going to ground. What vehicle are you using as a source of power on this jump start? If your jump starting that big diesel with a single battery 12 volt system as in a pickup, usually you have to let the truck alternator put some charge in the tractor batteries, for 10 to 15 min. If your tractor batteries are quite low the pickup battery will just not have what it takes.
