Dean: My 130 and 140 both have provission in the distributor drive for tachometer drive, my SA does not. I expect all offset tractors after Super A1 had provission for distributor drive. On direction you have the distributor drive shaft coming from timing gears, the distributor and tach both drive off of that shaft, thus both distributor and tach drive would turn the same direction. You can figure it out from there. I can't tell you the internal working of the tach. I'f your looking for a factory tach, I expect anything from 100, 200, 130, 230, 140, 240, 404 and 2404 are all the same, all being 4 speed transmissions and all driven of the distributor drive. The ratios could be off on the 36" wheel tractors.
