I wouldn't give more than $500 for it if it isn't running. Even if the engine turns over you can have major problems internally. Parts for the big start on gas diesel are rare and expensive. You could end up with $5000 in just the engine to have it in tip-top shape. It's a big gamble with these old diesels.
