Well, here is what I had to do. My tractor has 2 6V batteries. I had to hook positive to the clutch side battery and negative to brake side battery. I will admit that I had some sparks when I tried any other hook-up. I am up and running again, maybe I won't be as carless the next time to leave the key on. Thanks everyone for the advice.
