Keep in mind that these gas caps are also available for purchase at any CaseIH dealer, so someone selling a gas cap is not automatically a thief. I agree though. Enough is enough. IH, then Navistar has been giving these caps away since I was a mere boy. The gas cap offer has protected them from lawsuits caused by earlier leaky gas caps. It's getting to the point where the chances of a fire are pretty slim, and providing the caps is becoming more expensive than settling a lawsuit. Amazingly enough, none of the three Farmalls I purchased in the last three years had a new cap. If anything, it will be refreshing to not have to wade through the weekly discussions on how to get free gas caps, or how bad Navistar's customer service is because their FREE cap took X days to arrive in the mail, or how they ordered a cap X hours ago and it hasn't come in yet...
