825 Serial number

Buddy of mine has a Farmall 826D.

The serial number he gave me is:
2510132U009253.
I checked the serial number page and it lists:
1969 starts with 7501. 1970 starts with 8153 and 1971 starts with 16352.
Question is: Do I go by the last four digits? i.e. 9253 or do I go with the first five digits? i.e. 25101? By the way I"m looking at it, he could have either a 1971 or a 1970. Any help?
