It doesn't have a dipstick. But that's no problem.

On the left-hand side of the engine, down low on the side of the oil pan, there are 2 petcocks.
When you fill the oil, open them both. put oil in until it starts to drip out the lower petcock, (which in your case will take about 4 quarts). Close the lower petcock, then add 1 more quart and it should start to come out the upper petcock. That is it, the engine is full when oil comes out the upper petcock.

To check the oil, open the lower petcock, if oil comes out, it is OK, if not, add some until it comes out the upper petcock. Add slowly, give the oil time to drain down through the block to the oil pan.
