My wiring was gone (and the plugs were shot) also.
The hotter plugs I put in required different wiring than stock. In my case, each plug got it"s own wire (not sure the gauge, but I used yellow connectors)that ran into one connector with one wire to a pushbutton starter switch. The other side of the switch goes directly to the battery. Works fine for me, but not sure what it will do with original plugs.
