Way too many things unknown here to give any direct answers. If it does need a new clutch it's still not the end of the world, in fact replacing a clutc is probably one of the easier and less costly things you could do. The rough idling problem could be a dirty carburetor, might be a worn distributor, could need a valve job. Might cost some money, but still not the end of the world. If you're getting by with it the way it is, I'd let 'er go until you don't need it everyday.
