The stone is probably best made from a rotary stone that is either the correct size to start with, or dressed to the exact size. A machine shop with grinding ability can do it. Google for arbor mounted abrasive stones. (150 grit for roughing, and 320 or so for smoothing) The radius of the groove should be exactly the same radius as 1/2 of the ball diameter, or .001-.002" larger. Using a good hand drill, and very equal pressure, nice strokes, counted and repeated on each groove equally, and uniform axial direction, resmoothing the grooves should be possible. Or have a machine shop do it. JimN
