JM: Something not adding up here, a 1066 with 1,000# front end weight would quite easily pickup and go with 5,000#. The Cat.III hitch is rated at 7,500# lift. I operated a Rockland Rotoveyor with my 1066, using 2,400# of front end weight. The Rotoveyor is very close to the 7,500# onthe 3 point hitch. I had no problem with front end coming up, it did slide a bit on turns, thus one had to use brakes a bit to steer. I think what your seeing is 3 point lift shock through the tractor. That is still a long ways from front end coming up. I had a 5 bottom semi-mount plow and a 10' 3 point chisel plow. Either one of those would have as much weight as a bale, and I never used any front weight with those. I did have to use 6 front weights if I hooked either of the plows to 656.
