The plug on my A (44') is winged with a distinct taper and very thin (shallow rounded) threads. I think it is original and is a wedge fit. I saw them on OEM or here. Mine leaked antifreeze and I wrapped it with teflon tape-fine now. The IA (47') is tapped to NPT and has a 4" nipple with a standard pipe cap.
