Christie, about 3 years ago I bought a super-c and had a similar problem. The tractor would start and run for 3 or 4 minutes, then just quit. This tractor had an inline fuel filter comming into the carborator. It was very dirty, fuel would run through this filter. But when I blew on it with my mouth, holding my hand over the other end I couldn't believe the dirt that came out on my hand. An air compressor would work better if you have one. I haven't had a problem since. Sounds like your tractor is fuel starved. Good luck.
