Hi , Keeping them out of the sun is most important and using them keeps the rubber flexible . So get out and use it as often as possible . There's a natural oil in rubber that when the tire is used keeps them pliable . Heat and UV destroys the rubber and dries it out . So do petroleum products as it wash this oil out of the pores of the rubber contributing to drying . So does acid , alkali and a bunch of other things . Your best bet is to keep them clean with a mild cleaner ( NOT a detergent ) and use some sort of quality tire dressing and drive on them often . If they are already checked there's not much you can do about it . Maybe someone else has a secret or not so secret remedy for checking . Good Luck ! ...Randy
