Gary: Take note of what I said to Tim,I think Hiniker and Year-a-Round were same design licenced to two different companies. I just thought of that other name for Diamond or Excell. We quite regularly saw that same design on Allis and those Fiats that were built for Allis, White, MF, Heston, etc., and it was called a Simms cab. Simms cabs were quite common on backhoes and dozers, numerous makes here in Canada. Seeing as how that 3rd cab from left in your photo was the only true IH cab, history now tells us the after market caught on that farmers wanted cabs long before tractor manufacturers got the message. Even John Deere's first cabs were built by an assortment of the same after market suppliers. They may try to claim otherwise, but sound gard in the mid 70s was the first true Deere cab.
