IH did not always use the right decals. If equipped with TA, it is supposed to have the wing, if no TA just the round emblem. Nearly all should have the wing, as the TA was the main selling point and IH wanted to advertise that. If it has not been repainted, then IH messed up. I have never owned a SMTA, but was 16 when they came out. All the advertising at the time showed the wing. I drove one about half a day in 1955-56? on loan while our H was being repaired, It had the wing.
